About us

Since 1995, the Adelaide Spikers Volleyball Club has been providing recreational competition for gay and lesbian volleyball players and supporters.  The ASVC boasts a growing membership base from various backgrounds, ages, and playing standards, reflecting its key aims of promoting and encouraging volleyball within a friendly and supportive environment.  The ASVC organises a range of competitive and recreational activities for its members including the popular weekly social games, local and interstate tournaments, training, and occasional social events.

Where we meet 

During the volleyball season we meet Thursdays from 7.00 pm to 8.30pm at the Thebarton Senior College gymnasium, Ashley Street, Torrensville.  Click the bus icon on the map to see which buses will get you to the gymnasium. Buses from the City stop on the southern side of the street.

Club Aims

The aims of the Adelaide Spikers Volleyball Club are to be supportive of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities; promote and encourage participation in volleyball; develop the skills of volleyball in a socially supportive environment; provide opportunities to participate in volleyball competitions and social events; and provide and encourage a safe, friendly, discrimination and harassment-free environment.
